The Jump – Oil, 2008, 11×14″, $400
Street Car is a 1995 Saddlebred/Thoroughbred gelding. I broke him in 1998 and fell in love with him and purchased him as a college graduation present to myself in 1999
Since then he has helped me teach lessons and has placed in the top 6 for the year of the Schooling Jumper Division of VHSA (Virginia Horse Show Association) for 4 years. He LOVES to jump and actually gets very excited when he hears the start bell at the jumper shows. He’s a smooth mover and jumper, thanks to his Saddlebred lines I’m sure. He’s got a lot of personality and worms his way into the hearts of all my students that ride him. He definitely knows his “job”, when he’s in the ring he knows he’s supposed to go fast, but out on the trails, he’ll drop his head and go along like a nice QH. Pretty cool guy
